Thing 19~Podcasts

Podcast.com: To me it seemed like I was clicking from one place to the next and on and on. I did look through some of the NPR and find anything one that caught my eye. Grammer Grater was a link that goes through some of the English language issues that seem to pop up in most high school classrooms. One is example is the can versus the may and the proper usage. It was a short 3 ½ minute podcast discussing when it is appropriate to use can and may.

I went through Podcast.com and looked through the top 25 podcasts of the month. Nothing really attracted my interest. So I moved on to a different directory.

Yahoo Podcast: I personally liked the Yahoo Podcast because it was more search friendly. I seem to find a considerable amount of information on the Library 2.0. I can type in what I am looking for and it gives me a ton of options. Podcast.com was nice if you are looking to click through a ton of things. My preference lies in the ability to search an engine like Yahoo and find something really fast.

I have chose not to link a podcast to my bloglines at this time. I will continue my search to find something that will work to improve my media center. At some point, I am sure that I will link something to my RSS feed.

Presentations can be greatly enhanced by using a podcast.

Here is a link to podcasts that our students have created during their Laker Live class. The podcasts are ones that have been selected by students because they were the best or funniest.
